Jelena Krstic, YELL, is a singer and artist. She grew up in a musical family in the small Serbian town Kovin. She began her musical education at the age of 3 and made her stage debut at the age of 4. She practiced singing with both of her parents.

The piano and singing were always passions which Jelena has remained loyal to. She pursued these passions while attending the music school in Smederevo from 1990 until she graduated in 1996.

At the age of 15 in 1996, she left home to attend the music conservatory in Belgrade from which she graduated in 2000 with qualifications as an opera singer, music teacher and vocalist.

In 1999, she moved to Austria to study singing at the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Graz. She graduated in 2002 and promptly re-applied to study composition and music theory, graduating from the Vienna Music Conservatory in 2007.

In 2005, she won the Austrian talent competition known as THE VOICE.

Starting in 2005, she began performing in various musicals, including “Mitsuko” from composer Frank Wildhorn in Vienna’s Museum Quartier, Under Wildhorn’s conducting, she sang backup vocals on the CD for “Dracula”. She has also performed with the Uwe Krüger Ensemble and other Austrian musical and theater stars.

From 2008 to 2010 as part of the Grooveheadz project, Jelena played festivals in Turkey, the USA ( New York City and Washington). St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean, Austria, Germany, Serbia and Hungary.

Since 2008, Jelena has had the honour of performing on stage with Gipsy Soul legend Harri Stojka. In 2010 she appeared in the documentary film “Gipsy Spirit-Harri Stojka, One journey”. In 2011, Harri and Jelena released the CD “Gitan Coeur d’Europe”, Roma music from Europe. Since October 2011, she teaches pop-jazz & world music singing and music theory in music school "VGMS" in Vienna.
In December 2012, she played at the "Pannonian Christmas Gala" in Esterhazy
In Eisenstadt where it occurs as a singer with the Vienna Philharmonic, Sandra Pires,Elisabeth Kulman & Janoska Ensemble.

YELL’s voice is very feminine, while at the same time being authentic and powerful.Her masterful command in expressing her music embodies a new musical spirit.This is a music which is emotional,dynamic,passionate,groovy and modern.
