Silke Oldenhage was born in the North of Germany near Osnabrück in the „Artland“, the area around Quakenbrück with several historical farmbuildings.

She always liked to draw and paint and decided early to become an architect.

After the education for architectural draughtswoman she graduated at the professional high school for design and shaping. During her architectural studies in Cologne and Münster from 1991 to 2001 are born her two daughters. In this time she created paintings and drawings (watercolor, charcoal, oil, pen and ink drawings ) as commissioned works and painted portraits as a street artist (chalk, charcoal).

After graduating her architecture studies she worked as an independent architect in the field of historic preservation. She acquired a historic courtyard complex, renovated them and set up there her own apartment and holiday homes. It was born her third child.

She received the following awards:
2008 - Award for historic preservation of the Lower Saxony Savings Bank Foundation for the exemplary restoration of the courtyard “Hof Sickmann”
2010 - "Future proof rebuild - generational equitable and Innovative" , Special price of the architectural competition of the district Osnabrück
2011- RWE Innovation Price Heat pumps 2010, Category Special prices for the translocation and renovation of the historical “Heuerhaus”.

Since 2013 she works at the administration of the district Osnabrück in the construction supervision.
